Pearl 102 FM is the region's first and only radio station for children and families.
We are historic within the broadcasting industry as the first ever English language radio station dedicated to the younger generation and their families, broadcasting live on 102 FM from the Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children.
Pearl is the first commercial radio initiative for children in the region, and plays a significant role in fulfilling his His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai's vision to provide a cultural space in Dubai dedicated to enriching the lives of children through a wide range of cultural learning and artistic programmes, rooted in children's curiosity, creativity and love of play, through training, research and capacity building.
Lulu FM will be the sister station to Pearl, and a pioneering media project, being the first Arabic-language children's radio station to launch anywhere in the world.
Pearl presents a wide variety of interactive radio programmes; that simultaneously play hit music and discuss topics that cater to young children, from toddlers till 12 years of age, and their parents. There are also opportunities for school children to get creative and to take over the airwaves by presenting their own shows.
This is Pearl. We are never growing up!
